This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which of these technologies the website epicdigitalhub.ro uses, for what purpose and how you can manage your choice. It supplements the Privacy Policy.
The website is operated by EPIC DIGITAL HUB S.R.L., CUI 51214505, J2025006853005, with its registered office at Piața Nucetului nr. 24, bl. DE4, et. 3, ap. 308, Oradea, Bihor County, Romania, email contact@epicdigitalhub.ro.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser when you visit it. They allow the website to remember certain information (for example, your cookie choice) or to measure how it is used. Similar technologies include browser local storage (localStorage) and tracking pixels, i.e. snippets of code that send information about the visit to a third-party provider.
In this policy, we use the term "cookies" for all of these technologies.
Cookies may be:
- first-party — set by the epicdigitalhub.ro domain;
- third-party — set by another domain, for example that of an analytics or advertising provider;
- session cookies — deleted when the browser is closed;
- persistent cookies — kept until they expire or until you delete them manually.
2. Legal basis
Under Article 4(5) of Romanian Law no. 506/2004, storing information or gaining access to information stored on your device is permitted only with your consent, except for technologies strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested.
Accordingly:
- strictly necessary technologies are used without consent;
- analytics and marketing cookies are activated only after you click "Accept" in the consent banner. Until then, they are blocked.
3. Which cookies we use
3.1. Strictly necessary
| Name | Provider | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
edh-consent-v1 | epicdigitalhub.ro | local storage (localStorage), first-party | remembers your cookie choice so that the banner is not shown on every visit | until the browser data is cleared or until you change your choice |
These technologies cannot be disabled from the banner, because without them the website cannot respect your choice. You can delete them at any time from your browser settings.
3.2. Analytics (only with consent)
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand how many people visit the website, which pages they read, where they come from and which forms they submit. The data is used in aggregated form to improve the website and its content.
| Name | Provider | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga | first-party, persistent | distinguishes unique visitors by assigning a randomly generated identifier | 2 years | |
_ga_<ID> | first-party, persistent | maintains session state for the website's Google Analytics property | 2 years |
We have configured Google Analytics so that:
- data is retained for 14 months;
- the IP address is not stored (Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses);
- names, email addresses and other form data are not sent to Google.
3.3. Marketing (only with consent)
We use Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns on Facebook and Instagram (for example, how many requests came in following an advertisement) and to be able to show relevant advertisements to people who have visited the website.
| Name | Provider | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_fbp | Meta | first-party, persistent | identifies the browser for measuring and delivering Meta advertisements | 90 days |
_fbc | Meta | first-party, persistent | stores the click identifier when you arrive on the website from a Meta advertisement | 90 days |
fr | Meta (facebook.com) | third-party, persistent | delivery, measurement and relevance of advertisements | 90 days |
In addition, when you accept marketing cookies, consent signals for advertising are sent to Google (Consent Mode v2). The website does not currently use Google Ads tags. If we introduce them, this policy will be updated.
3.4. Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager to manage the measurement code described above. Google Tag Manager does not set its own cookies and does not collect personal data; it only loads the other tools, according to your choice.
4. Consent Mode v2
The website uses Google Consent Mode v2. Until you make your choice, all storage categories (analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) are set to "denied" by default.
If you decline, Google Analytics does not set cookies. Google may nevertheless receive cookieless signals (for example, the fact that a page view occurred), without persistent identifiers, which it uses for aggregated statistical estimates. Meta Pixel does not load at all.
5. How to manage your choice
The consent banner: on your first visit, you can choose "Accept" or "Decline". Both options are equally accessible, and declining does not restrict access to the website's content.
Changing or withdrawing consent: at any time, via the "Cookie settings" link in the website footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Browser settings: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Delete browsing data;
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data;
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data;
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
Tools provided by the providers:
- Google Analytics: the opt-out browser add-on available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout;
- Meta: ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account (Accounts Centre → Ad preferences).
Blocking all cookies in your browser may affect how some websites work. In the case of epicdigitalhub.ro, the content remains available without analytics or marketing cookies.
6. Data transfers
Google and Meta may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States of America. Transfers are made on the basis of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the standard contractual clauses. Details are set out in the Privacy Policy, section 7.

7. Changes
We update this policy when we add, remove or change tools on the website. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. If we introduce a new category of cookies requiring consent, we will ask for your consent again.
